The Warrior (Japanese: せんし Senshi; Fighter) is a job in Miitopia. It is one of the six starting jobs in the game, along with Mage, Cleric, Thief, Pop Star, and Chef. As such, it is one of the jobs that are playable in the Demo. The Warrior is also one of the main characters in Miitopia: Casting Call, where he/she is depicted traveling alongside a Mage, a Cleric, and a Cat.

In official promotions for the Nintendo 3DS version, the Warrior is played by a male Mii named either Demetrius by Nintendo of America[1], Eric by Nintendo of Europe[2] , or Yuuma (ゆうま) by Nintendo of Japan[3]. An official QR code for the default Mii used for the Nintendo 3DS is available, where he is given the name "boy" in the American version. In the announcement trailer for the Nintendo Switch version, the male Mii representing the Warrior is named Kyle by Nintendo of America[4] or Haruto (はると) by Nintendo of Japan[5]. A different Mii named Tom is also used to represent the Warrior in the trailers[6]. The Warrior is often the Hero's main job whenever he is depicted in marketing, especially in Miitopia: Casting Call, to represent the player.

Job description

Miitopia

"Wields powerful swords, and is skilled at both attack and defense."

Miitopia: Casting Call

"A dependable leader who swings a mean sword."

Nintendo official site

An all-around sword swinger with equally sharp attack and defense skills.[7]

Gameplay

The Warrior is a standard archetype for physical attackers, preferring Attack and Defense stats. Almost all of its skills focus on dealing physical damage. One skill, Proud Protector, utilizes the job's high HP and Defense to take damage meant for an ally.

The Warrior uses Swords, which raise the Attack stat, and its basic attack is single-target, but its Spin Slash and Super Spin Slash skills allow it to inflict damage on all enemies on the field. In the Nintendo Switch version, a Hero with the Warrior job can use the Horse-Whispering Warrior assist, which is a single-target physical attack that inflicts damage with 9x multiplier.

The Warrior's downside is the low MP, Magic, and Speed. Low MP means that a Warrior can exhaust its MP easily from skills across multiple battles in a single exploration. The Warrior's very low Magic causes it to take more damage from magic attacks. Low Speed means that a Warrior tends to move later than most other battlers in a round.

The Warrior's clothing type is the Armor, but has the option of wearing an amiibo clothing. Depending on the Armor set, a Warrior's headpiece type can be either a hat or a headgear. All Armors boost the Defense stat.

Role in Miitopia: Casting Call

In Miitopia: Casting Call, the Warrior is a stand-in for the Hero, as he/she leads the party in adventures. The Warrior is equipped with a Squire Sword and, by default, wears the Squire Armor, though the player may change it to either the Viking Armor, the Bee Armor, or the Polka-Dot Armor.

In "Chosen Ones", the Warrior and his/her party members the Mage, the Cleric, and the Cat are fighting the Dark Lord in his castle. The Warrior and the Cat demonstrate the Lend a Hand assist by attacking the Dark Lord together. Eventually, the Dark Lord steals the faces of the party members, leaving the Warrior to fight him alone.

In "Camaraderie", the Warrior has a lessened role as the focus is on the Mage and the Cleric. The Warrior is seen giving a present to the Cleric, which is seen by the Mage, who ends up jealous. This is exacerbated by the Mage imagining the Warrior and the Cleric laughing together after the Mage tripped.

In "Venture Forth", the Warrior leads the party to the Greenhorne Castle where they then meet the King and the Princess. The Princess ends up having her face stolen, so the Warrior's party travels to the Nightmare Tower to rescue her face from the General "Mii".
