The Vampire (Japanese: ヴァンパイア Vampire), also known as secret job #2, is a job in Miitopia. It is one of two jobs unlocked by charms obtained by fulfilling certain requirements, along with the Elf. This job was advertised with a silhouette on the Nintendo 3DS version's official website by Nintendo of America[1], but it was visibly teased alongside other main story post-Greenhorne jobs at the end of the Demo.

Job description[edit]

Miitopia[edit]

"This beauteous immortal flourishes the forces of darkness with flair."

Gameplay[edit]

The Vampire is primarily a physical attacker focused on targeting all enemies, as its basic attack and most of its skills are all-targeting ones. This is also shown via Horse-Whispering Vampire, which is an all-target physical attack with 2.2x multiplier and hits 3 times. Stats-wise, the Vampire has above-average stats except for Speed, with its max HP being the highest among all jobs and its max Magic being tied with the Cleric as the second highest.

What puts the Vampire into the secret job category is its unique ability of automatic revival. Its Revive skill has a chance to activate upon its turn if it was knocked out. In addition, a Vampire can also apply automatic revivals on its teammates via Enthrall. As such, this gives the Vampire's party more fighting chance without having to rely on other jobs' revival skills or the Life Sprinkles. Other unique properties are the Vampire's Curse and Bat Tornado skills. Curse is an auto skill that causes the Vampire to reflect half the damage (rounded up) inflicted by an enemy's basic attack as long as it makes contact. This skill also has a hidden property of increasing enemies' tendency to attack the Vampire just so Curse can activate on them, which is supported by its high HP to help tank the hits, and the Vampire's low Speed allows more opportunities for Curse to activate before its turn. Meanwhile, Bat Tornado inflicts magic damage, but it is calculated against the target's Defense instead of Magic, meaning it can bypass magic-resistant enemies.

Stuff[edit]

Main articles: Bat and Suit

The Vampire uses Bats, which raise the Attack and Magic stats. The Vampire clothes are called Suits, but has the option to wear amiibo clothes. Depending on the Suit set, a Vampire's headwear is either a full-on hat that covers the top part of the wearer's head or a tiny one worn on the right side of the head.

  • The Vampire is tied with the Cleric, the Imp, and the Scientist for having the highest base Magic among all jobs at 7 points.
  • The Vampire is one of the few jobs in Miitopia with a unique walking animation during a level. Other jobs with unique walking animations include the Cat, the Thief, the Pop Star, the Chef, the Tank, and the Flower. In this case, the Vampire floats above the ground.
