Chef
The Chef (Japanese: りょうりにん Ryōrinin; Cook) is a job in Miitopia. It is one of the six jobs available at the beginning of the game along with the Warrior, the Mage, the Cleric, the Thief, and the Pop Star. As such, it is also one of the jobs that are playable in the Demo.
In official promotional material for the Nintendo 3DS version, the Mii representing the Chef is named Kozo (こうぞう) by Nintendo of Japan[1]. In western trailers for the Nintendo Switch version, the Mii that usually represents the Chef is named Shin[2].
Job description[edit]
Miitopia[edit]
"Cooks up cures and stirs up trouble in equal parts with a trusty frying pan."
Nintendo official site[edit]
"Able to dish out healthy cures to friends and spicy wallops to enemies."[3]
Gameplay[edit]
The Chef can perform both as an attacker and a healer thanks to its variety of skills. The Chef can deal powerful single-target damage thanks its high Attack stat, which can be boosted even more through Flambé. It may also have its allies attack in its stead through Spicy Dish, and even help attack multiple targets with Spicy Dinner, however this comes at the cost of potentially causing Quarrels between the Chef and the other party members.
The Chef can heal the party through its Cooking skills, and can even heal the entire party with Feast, though the latter does not take effect immediately. It is even able to enhance the effect of HP Bananas with the Banana Fritter skill. Unlike other jobs with healing skills though, the Chef's Cooking (excluding Feast) only heals a fixed amount of HP regardless of its own stats.
In the Nintendo Switch version, a Hero with the Chef job can use the Horse-Whispering Chef assist, which is a random wide-target magic attack that inflicts damage with 1.8x multiplier up to 5 hits (less if there is too insufficient number of targets).
Thanks to its weapon also increasing Defense, the Chef can have the highest Defense stat out of any job. The Chef however must watch out for enemies with powerful Magic attacks, as its own Magic stat is on the lower end.
Stuff[edit]
The Chef's weapon is the Frying Pan while its clothing is the Uniform, but the Chef may also wear amiibo costumes. Every Uniform comes with a hat as headpiece.
